The Hérisson waterfalls

Between Doucier and Ilay, the Hérisson waterfalls unfold seven leaps along a green valley, including the Éventail and the Grand Saut, impressive in spring. The marked trail, on a gentle climb, can be walked in half a day. Walking together along a stream, pausing beneath a cool pool in summer: this is a date you remember for a long time.

Lakes of Chalain, Ilay and Narlay

Surrounded by wooded cliffs, Lake Chalain charms with its beach and its deep blue-green water. Higher up, Lakes Ilay and Narlay are revealed from the Four Lakes viewpoint, one of the finest in the range. Picnic, summer swimming, year-round hiking: these lakes are perfect allies of first dates.

Lake Vouglans and Baume-les-Messieurs

To the south, Lake Vouglans, thirty-five kilometres long, reveals its turquoise waters between white cliffs, inviting boating or paddleboarding. In the north, the village of Baume-les-Messieurs, nestled at the end of its reculée, hides a Benedictine abbey and caves. On Lyad, members from the Jura share their favourite walks; it is up to you to find someone to let yourself be surprised with.
